Christmas is Over and New Year is here!

Hello all! This is not only our first post of the New Year, but first post on our new blog. I had been keeping track of both of the kids on babysites.com, but with tax season coming up and just having two kids under the age of 2 I am busy and I believe this will be easier to keep everyone updated.

Christmas went great! The kids were so great to watch and spend time with. Carter did tire of opening presents real quick. Once he opened one gift, he wanted to start playing with it and that was the end of opening presents. He was really into the cars from "Cars" the movie. He is still playing with these cars everyday and gets pretty animated with them. You will hear him in the living room saying "Vroom" as he runs them up and down the couch. Carter is getting ready to turn 2 this weekend so we are so very excited and busy. Please stay tuned to hear how the big bounce house party goes!!

Evy loved, loved, loved the wrapping paper and plopping on her belly and reaching and doing anything she could possibly to move around. This is quite funny since she doesn't crawl, but kind of flops around like a fish. Evy also stands up and tries to walk down the couch by holding on. She does a pretty good job of it, but then realizes how excited she is and flaps her arms and falls down. She is the happiest baby!!! She can't wait to get up and move around and play with Carter.

Brent and I are really excited about Carter's big birthday party with his best buddy Andrew who he shares the exact same birthday with. We think of Andrew as family and basically as Carter and Evy's other brother so I am sure you will see many pics and comments about the lil guy.

We can't believe how fast Carter has grown. I can't believe he will be two. He is quite the independent boy. He likes to dress, feed, and do as many things possible by himself. Yet, he still wants us to play with him when he is sick of playing by himself. He is really starting to pick up the words now which is making it easier for us to communicate with him. Yet, he is sometimes shy about trying a new word. He hates to get dirty and loves to wash and sanitize his hands just like his Mommy. Hee Hee! But he is all boy when it comes to trucks, cars, and planes and running and chasing and yelling in the house. His favorite thing to do is play hide and seek with his dad. He is still a very loving boy and loves to give his family and friends hugs, kisses, and cuddles when he is tired and ready to calm down. We could not ask for anything more from him...except maybe to sleep in since he is an early riser and wakes up by 6:15 every morning.

My other early riser Evy Marie is up by 6:30 every morning and no matter what she is smiling when I go into her room to get her. She is such a mama and grandma's girl and we love it!!! She also loves everything and laughs at everything Carter does. She is a very busy girl that will probably walk soon. She has become quite the little eater and has distinct tastes about what she wants to eat. Uh oh! She just loves yogurt and would eat it all day if she could. Please check out the kids Christmas pics and a few of their latest.

We love all of you and wish you a Happy New Year
